Starbucks Morning: What is New in Fair Housing?
To celebrate Fair Housing Month, the Association welcomes back Jinada Rochelle, Director of Enforcement at the PA Human Relations Commission, to provide an update on a new state law and new guidance on the to the Human Relations Act. An expanded definition of ‘sex’ as a protected class will allow the Human Relations commission to accept complaints based on gender identity and sexual orientation for example. The new state law known as the “Assistance and Service Animal Integrity Act” is designed to address concerns over what constitutes an assistance or service animal. This session will review the new guidance and legislation including what it means for Realtors and their clients.
